News from the Acorn Unit
Last week Josh and Grant were part of the school soccer team who played against Castleknock Community College in Dublin. It was the semi-final of the FAI Inter Schools Soccer Tournament.
We left KTCS at 9.15am and got a bus to Dublin. The bus was very noisy because the team were playing music.
When we got to Castleknock we got changed into our gear in the changing rooms. Grant was wearing no 14 and Josh was wearing no 15.
It was very cold that day so Josh and Grant had to wear their jerseys on the side lines.
It was a tough match for KTCS, the opposition had 3 League of Ireland players playing for them, and Castleknock Community College were playing on home grounds. Castleknock won the match 5-1. Our goal was scored by Brandon O’Keeffe (BOK).
Grant did not like the cold so he went in to the school gym with Dave and used some of the gym equipment.
Josh watched the whole match with the rest of the subs. To keep warm they were racing up a hill at the side of the pitch.
We stopped at Burger King on the way home. We got back to KTCS at 3pm.
