KTCS wins Br. Hubert Shield Final in GAA

Congratulations to our 1st year boys gaelic football team on winning the Br. Hubert Shield last Friday, 7th February in Hawkfield. In a competitive first half the school out played and out fought St Paul’s Monastervin. This was reflected in the half time score of 1-5 to 0-2. Ben Ryan was a stand-out player scoring 1-2 however this reflected the hard work and effort of all the team who were playing in tough weather conditions. Rory Stynes was excellent in defence and Kyle Donoghue stood out in the forwards. The second half continued KTCS’ dominance where the team scored 3-6 to 1-1 to prove worthy winners against determined opponents. This dominance was evident with five of the six forwards scoring in the second half. The final score was KTCS 4-11 St. Paul's Monasterevin 1-3. Mr FitzGerald and Mr Kelly would like to thank all the players for their hard work and dedication throughout the year and hope this is the first of many titles for our school.
