The 9th of February is European Safer Internet Day. We will be celebrating this in the school in many ways throughout the week. You might like to take the opportunity this week to embrace and promote positive and responsible use of the internet with your son / daughter.
The title of the week is “Together for a Better Internet”
The themes are Respectful Communication Online and Positive Use of the Internet
What is happening in the school:

Daily tip on positive and responsible use of the internet, shared on Google classroom and during Tutor time.

Tuesday- Talk from Local Garda on Online safety 1st years

School Competition entry format, poster, technology or through the arts.

SPHE class this week will focus on our Safer Internet themes.

1st year Class Presentation and Quiz from our TY Digital safety Ambassadors.
Webwise is a Department of Education website that provides information, advice and tools to parents to support their engagement in their children’s online lives. Please find below a link to the parent section of the website.
There is an Internet Safety Night for Parents tonight online at 7.30pm please find details of this meeting attached.
