Several initiatives were ran last year including: updating canteen menu, providing a nutrition talk for parents, chef visit, walking challenges, sports days and participation in secondary school’s operation transformation dance challenge.

This year the Health Council once again will run a number of initiatives before and after Christmas. The following are been ran: tasty Thursday and Tuesday with 1st year Home Ecomonics classes where students will be asked to try new foods, Walk week will be organised before Christmas, 2nd years are taking part in the school fitness challenge as part of PE programme and CPR/First Aid workshop has been organised and ran with the TY's by Ms. A. Role:

The role of the health council is to promote physical activity and healthy eating in the school. At present the council is made up of teachers and students of KTCS but input from parents is very much welcome.
Physical Activity:

Physical Activity is promoted through PE, extracurricular activities, active school week, sports day and application for active flag status. The aim of the council is to promote these in the school but to also come up with other initiatives throughout the year.
Nutrition:

The council would hope to implement a meals program in school and help students make healthier choices outside of school.
