6th Year Letter

19-May-20

Dear 6th year students,

I hope you are well and managing as best you can – these are very unusual times
for all of us!

Information for CAO applicants:

Many of you will have received the Statement of Application record email from CAO
this morning. The email instructs applicants to log in to their CAO account to verify
that all of their personal details, examination information, supporting documents,
course choices and exemptions (if any) are recorded correctly on their account.
If there are errors or omissions, applicants are given the opportunity to rectify this
information (for no charge) via their online CAO Account. Examination updates made
before the end of May will be updated to applicant accounts in early June.

The CAO Change of Mind facility opened on Tuesday, 5 May. Applicants may add,
remove or change the order of their courses as many times as they like up to the 1
July at 5:15pm. Remember to list your courses in genuine order of preference,
and not based on assumptions about points or examination results.

CAO Applicants are also urged to read the 'Changes to the 2020 Handbook'
document (available from the Downloads section of www.cao.ie) for information on
new courses, cancelled courses, title changes and miscellaneous changes.

Information for QQI/PLC applicants

Many of you have been attending for virtual interviews this week. If you have not
heard from the college, send them an email and enquire as to when you will be given
an interview. Alternatively email me and I will enquire on your behalf. Many colleges
are still open for online applications. In terms of cost, skill development and
opportunities, these courses provide great opportunities for students. All information
is on www.qualifax.ie

Survey
